Oldest kalari in fortkochi established in 1942, by later K.Paramu gurukkal of kadathanad
One among few kalaries where boh northern & southern sytle of kalari is being traditionaly trainned here.
In 1970 Parmugurukkal handed over the charge of kalari to K.M.Sreedharan and in 1975 he was honoured as Gurukkal of Dakshina Bharatha kalari
Sreedharan Gurukkal travelled alover kerala to attain knowledge about kalari and marma treatment from different masters like sri Viswanathan Gurukkal, Sri Sankaranarayanan Gurukkal, Sri Mohandas Gurukkal, Sri rajkumar Gurukkal, and many others also he maintained a good relationship with all to develop this devine martial arts.
Students of Dakshina Bharatha Kalari were champions in many national, state level competetions
He have more than 4000 students
With his hardwork & commitment 42ft traditional kalari was costructed in fortkochi in 1990

After his demise in 2010 his son Aswani kumar & his wife Mereena Aswani continued the lineage of this kalari
As part of social commitments we are conducting, self defense classes, workshops. for different age groups childrens in various schools
Bhadra Yoga a sister concern of Dakshina Bharatha Kalari is given yoga & wellness training classes exclusively for women for there empowerment.
Under the supervision of Smt Mereena Aswani we have started a seperate batch for kalari training exclusively for womens of all age group
